For high-powered applications, Exedy offers twin and triple Multi-Plate clutches. These are designed for high power street action as well as drag, road and rally racing. The twin plate clutches are rated for approximately 500 ft/lbs of torque and the triple plates are rated for approximately 800 ft/lbs of torque, both figures at the flywheel. Twins come with both spring damper discs or solid discs depending on application, whereas triples are all solid discs and not recommended for street use.

All Exedy Hyper Multi-Plate clutches come with a lightweight, chromoly steel flywheel and the famous purple anodized forged aluminum clutch cover. Depending on the application, we have both strap drive and lug drive models. All have T5001 cerametallic friction materials for extreme heat resistance. Surprisingly, even with it’s additional power capability, most multi-plate clutches exhibit light pedal pressure thanks to a half-engaged “zone” provided by the patented clutch “cushion” function.

Exedy Warranty Policy

• Standard OEM Replacement Clutch Kits: Standard OEM replacement clutch kits are guaranteed for a period of twelve (12) months or 20,000 miles, which ever occurs first.
• Automatic Transmission Kits: Automatic Transmission steels and wet friction products are guaranteed twenty-four (24) months or 50,000 miles, which ever occurs first, against manufacturers defects. Claims on wet friction products will not be entertained on any claim level, sight unseen of the product that claims to be faulty.

Sports/Performance: Due to the intended use and nature of these goods/products, they are warranted as follows:

• Stage 1, Stage 2 and Flywheels – 60 days from date of purchase.
• Stage 3, Stage 4 and Stage 5 – No Warranty available.
• Individual components – No Warranty available.

PLEASE NOTE: OEM Replacement clutch kits and Automatic Transmission kits used in performance applications are not covered by any warranty.
